Build Management with AccuRev and Maven


Maven is a leading project management and build tool for Java developers. The m2eclipse plugin for Eclipse provides Maven users with the power of Maven from within the familiar Eclipse IDE. AccuRev users can also take advantage of Maven from within Eclipse by using the AccuRev integration that ships as part of m2eclipse. Combined with the AccuBridge for Eclipse plugin, Maven and AccuRev users have a powerful development environment available that enables source code, build and project management in the Eclipse environment.

The AccuRev integration with m2eclipse gives software developers and build engineers several important capabilities:

  1. Users can materialize Maven projects inside an Eclipse workspace by obtaining the source code and POM files from an AccuRev stream.
  2. Maven projects can be created in existing AccuRev workspaces, or new AccuRev workspaces can be created.
  3. Maven build and project management capabilities are automatically available in Eclipse.
  4. AccuRev functionality is available via the Team Share option provided by the AccuBridge for Eclipse plugin.

The m2eclipse plugin, complete with AccuRev integration is available to Eclipse users (via the Eclipse Update Manager) from Sonatype at http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/update/.
